Q: What was your “Aha” moment that made you choose to join Blinds.com?
Besides the fact I already knew a couple people at Blinds.com (who regularly told me how AWESOME it was to work here) I kept seeing articles rave about the culture and Jay’s outlook for Blinds working environment. That being said, I researched the history on their website, and when I read about Blinds.com Core Values- I knew it was the place for me. I don’t believe in complacency, and wanted to thrive with a company who had the same outlook as me. Life is truly about Enjoying the Ride and if you’re not able to do that at work- then why be there? Here it is a core value!
Q: What’s an interesting experience you’ve had at Blinds.com that someone might not know?
As a graphic designer for Blinds.com, I was asked to create a Blinds.com themed wallpaper which you can see in our Wallpaper meeting room. This room showcases our different icons that represent the company, and also has a couple of Easter eggs if you know to look for them! I guess you can say I am now a Blinds.com interior designer aficionado!
Q: Describe your relationships with other Blinds.commers. What’s the environment like?
Being surrounded by the smartest and forward thinking people I’ve ever worked with definitely pushes me to be the best person I can be. Here, speaking up isn’t just a perk- it’s a core value! And when you collaborate with some of the best in the industry, well it really makes you wonder why you ever worked anywhere else at all. Not to mention, we have a couple game-changing shuffleboard experts, ping pong gurus and karaoke connoisseurs that are (I’m most certain) the cream of the crop.
