Q: Which of the core values influences you the most in your life and why?
Experiment without fear of failure – Like most people, I don’t enjoy failure, but I realize failure is one of my greatest opportunities for growth. I’ve been in environments where you’re forever associated with past failures. It’s amazing to be a part of a company that encourages you to step out and take risks. Most people experience fear at some point, but it’s during these times that I tell myself to experiment in spite of fear. I know that I will improve continuously because of it (Oh wait, did I just throw another core value in there?)!
Q: What’s your favorite flavor of cake that you’ve eaten at the Blinds.complex?
Berry Chantilly from Whole Foods. It’s the token birthday cake of the Skills Development department!!!
Q: What experiences have shaped you the most as you enjoy the Blinds.com ride?
One of the highlights of my week is Say Jay, our weekly company meeting with our CEO, Jay. We shut down the entire business to come together. We receive company direction and vision, hear about upcoming events, celebrate victories, and of course, cheer on our new hires as they introduce themselves with an original performance! One special Say Jay that will always stand out to me is where everyone in the company participated in writing our 2020 Vision! I can’t wait to see the things we accomplish by 2020 and to look back and know we all had a part in that!
